FTP is kinda wierd. When you connect to a remote FTP machine you connect
to it on port 21, but any time data is send back to your machine it opens
a NEW connection FROM the machine you are connected to TO your machine on
port 20. So, if you are masqerading the returning connection will not be
able to make it. You and do a port forward with ipchains from the box with
the connection to your internal machine for port 20 and see what happens.

I have been playing with ipchains and ipmasqadm, trying to foward all =
FTP request (port 21) to and internal machine @ port 21. I have had =
limited success, MS-DOS ftp seems to work well, IE 4.0 does also, IE 5 =
will list the contents but won't download, and Netscape chokes. All =
attempts have been through different ISP's for what that is worth. Every =
where I have read says it doesn't work or has problems and mentions =
people are working on it but doens't give links or contact information.
Does anyone have any ideas?

TIA=20
