[lug-nuts] Encryption Export Restriction laws relaxed

If you take a look at today's SF Chronicle (Thursday, December 13, 2000)
front page you will see an article regarding the relaxation of exportation
of encryption laws. My whole thought is, exportation restrictions really
have no meaning, because with the Net, encryption is readily available. But
anyway, it's good to see the politicians recognize this reality. At the end
of the article, it mentions that Open Source Encryption publication is
allowed sans restrictions, as long as you email your URL to the Feds!

This of course should be good news for developers of projects such as
VPNd.
