Pretty simple, and easy to remember after a few times:
To search forward:
/<what_you_are_searching_for_goes_here>
To search backwards:
?<what_you_are_searching_for_goes_here>
To search for the next occurance:
Just tap the "n" or "N" key.
What ya reallly need to do in my opinion is use vim. If you need help
in vim just type:
:help
