That's the easy part. ns2.sacbee.com (204.86.242.3) is secondarying
saclug.org right now (the servers "real" name is "qui-gon" by the way).

Really? That works? Humph, I learned something today.
Seems to me that simply adding saclug.org to /etc/mail/access will allow
relaying and nothing else. Great for sending email but no help for
receiving. Then if (Rick's and) my sendmail isn't specifically told to
accept email for saclug.org when your servers go down my version of sendmail
will bounce the email.
At least that how I though it would work. I'll be RTFMing tonight :)
'qui-gon.sacbee.com', the server in question, is running redhat-5.2 (it's a
headless sparc and RH-6.x hates headless sparcs) so the sendmail
configuration is slightly different. I'm adding saclug.org to
/etc/mail/relay_allow.

F{RelayTo} /etc/mail/relay_allow
So I think this will do the same thing.
