Michael,

Thanks for your input.

We are not using samba we are using "on-net' as a translation buffer
between UNIX and Windows. Since my home network does not exhibit this
behavior and yours does not I'm sure the problem is either "on-net" or
SunOS. This makes Samba look even more impressive.

Sorry I didn't mention my home network results before, but I needed
an undirected opinion.
